What Is the Difference Between CMYK and Pantone in Professional Printing ?
Offset printing typically requires four colour plates, one for each colour in the CMYK model. You may only need one or two plates with a Pantone system, which saves you money.
Some colours, on the other hand, do not have Pantone hues to match and may require a CMYK combination. While the Pantone solid palette has 1,114 colours, CMYK can create almost any colour you can imagine.
Because printing has so many options, it’s a good idea to work with a company that understands all of them. When discussing printing, keep three points in mind:
The core value of your company
What you want to convey
How you want to reach out to people
Any printing company will be able to provide you with a detailed explanation of your options and potential costs if you discuss these concepts clearly with them.
